Breath

There was a breath of air that passed between us;
a hint of lavender like the light from Venus
that shone into our room at night
when all our love was new and bright.
And still it seems that our childhood dreams are living in this world once more
with wild abandon on sun kissed shores.
There was a breath of air on that star-filled night
we lay upon the hollywood under purple moonlight
and she rose in the morning like a rose in bloom
and I followed her in to our love-filled room;
kissed her back and her cheek as she dreamed in her sleep
of the moment we met in that golden sunset.
