Sentiment

To pass through fields of yellow grain;

to drift along a quiet river;

to sleep in peaceful nights of rain;

to hear a song that hearts deliver

to souls so fresh with love’s delight

and wind so soft and clouds aloft

that memory whispers to the sky

a sacred love that she and I

shared then and now and still somehow

she hopes for all the world to feel the same again, the time when

he was her one and only love,

the prince, the knight, the shining light of

her spirit and heart that knew the sight

of earthen green and all within the cover of

a cloak so warm and gentle that time stood still so sentimental
